Basketball Recap: Cotulla Comes Up Short

Cotulla lost against Carrizo Springs back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cowboys lost 58-33 to the Wildcats. The Cowboys have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carrizo Springs' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Melanie Davila, who shot 78% from the field en route to 16 points and five steals. Another player making a difference was Jennay Davila, who went 6-for-14 to rack up 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven assists.

Cotulla's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Carrizo Springs, their record is now 9-2.

Cotulla has already played their next matchup, a 35-31 loss against Pearsall on the 25th. As for Carrizo Springs, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 80-20 victory against Brackett on the 25th.
