Football Game Preview: Mercer County vs. Marion County

On Friday Marion County take on Mercer County at 7:30 PM. Marion County aren't expected to win, but seeing as the odds didn't stop them last game, maybe the squad has another upset up their sleeve.

After having lost a blowout to Lloyd Memorial in their previous matchup, Marion County were happy to find some success last week. Marion County dodged a bullet, finishing off Washington County 22-21. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Marion County as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, after a dominant win in their game two weeks ago, Mercer County were humbled. They fell to Lincoln County 14-24. The contest was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but Mercer County were outplayed the rest of the way.

Marion County's win lifted them to 1-4 while Mercer County's loss dropped them down to 1-4. We'll see if Marion County's success rolls on or if Mercer County are able to steal their positive momentum.
