Soccer Game Preview: Mt. Eden vs. Arroyo

The Mt. Eden Monarchs will challenge the Arroyo Dons at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mt. Eden's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Mt. Eden is headed into the contest having not lost since December 20 and will look to keep things rolling. They skirted past Piedmont 3-2. Given the Monarchs' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 248th, while the Highlanders are ranked 627th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, Arroyo was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to Bishop O'Dowd.

Arroyo's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6-2. As for Mt. Eden, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-3-5 record this season.
