Baseball Game Preview: Bishop Brossart Mustangs vs. Ryle Raiders

The Bishop Brossart Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against the Ryle Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Brossart will be strutting in after a victory while Ryle will be coming in after a loss.

Bishop Brossart is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Ludlow with a sharp 18-8 win on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won five in a row.

Bishop Brossart got a massive performance out of Keagen Gulley, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI and one run. That's the most RBI Gulley has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Alex Noe, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Ryle's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of St. Henry by a score of 4-3.

Bishop Brossart's win bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Ryle, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-9-1.

Bishop Brossart suffered a grim 10-4 defeat to Ryle in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
