Shaler Area had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged out the Penn-Trafford Warriors 2-1 on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Titans: when they faced off against the Warriors back in March, they had to take a 11-1 defeat.

Shaler Area is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Penn-Trafford, they moved to 16-2 with that loss, which also ended their 16-game winning streak.

Shaler Area will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair will be back at it again later today.
