Basketball Recap: Laguna Beach Comes Up Short

Laguna Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 59-47 to the Capistrano Valley Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Breakers of the 60-40 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2024.

Laguna Beach's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Capistrano Valley, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.

Looking ahead, Laguna Beach will take on Huntington Beach at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Capistrano Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-44 victory against Providence on the 11th.
