Baseball Recap: Otto-Eldred Comes Up Short

Otto-Eldred was the 9-1 winner over Cameron County when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Terrors fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 5-4 on Wednesday.

Manning Splain was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Otto-Eldred's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Cameron County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.

Looking ahead, Otto-Eldred will be taking part in a tournament against Bolivar-Richburg at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Cameron County, they are taking a road trip to take on Smethport at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Hubbers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.56 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
