Russell won the last time they met up with Boyd County, and they shouldn't regret having come to the reunion, either. Russell were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Boyd County 49-0. The win was a breath of fresh air for Russell as it put an end to their 3-game losing streak.

The victory bumped Russell's record up to 2-3. The loss dropped Boyd County back to even at 2-2.

Russell will stay at home next week against West Carter at 7:00 PM. As for Boyd County, they will face off against Johnson Central. Boyd County have seen their point totals decreasing over the past three games, a vulnerability Johnson Central are surely hoping to exploit.
