Baseball Recap: Lexington Comes Up Short

Lexington easily dispatched Olympia on Wednesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Minutemen fell just short of the LeRoy Panthers by a score of 4-2 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Minutemen have suffered since April 28th.

Braeden Barber was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

With the loss, Lexington broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-11. As for LeRoy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lexington beat the Panthers by a score of 7-4 on Thursday.
