Preview: Redlands East Valley vs. Oak Hills
The Redlands East Valley Wildcats are on the road again on Friday and plays the Oak Hills Bulldogs on February 9th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
With a playoff game on the line, Redlands East Valley rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They beat the Lobos by the very same score they won with last week: 3-1.
Redlands East Valley was led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Cruz Navarro and
Landon Garcia, who scored all three of Redlands East Valley's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 33 so far this season.
Meanwhile, Oak Hills kept a clean sheet against Roosevelt on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged the Mustangs out 1-0. Give Oak Hills' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.
Redlands East Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4-2 record this season. As for Oak Hills, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3-2.
