Basketball Recap: Brownsboro Comes Up Short

Brownsboro was the 71-65 winner over Canton when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Brownsboro Bears lost 58-38 to the Canton Eagles on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bears have suffered against the Eagles since February 2, 2021.

Brownsboro's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Canton, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-14.

Brownsboro and Canton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Brownsboro will take on Mabank at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 426 places (747 vs. 321). Similarly, Canton (ranked 533rd) will meet Kennedale (ranked 90th) at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
