Baseball Recap: Tracy Gets the Win

Tracy won the last time they faced Bear Creek and things went their way on Thursday too. The Tracy Bulldogs won by a run and slipped past the Bear Creek Bruins 5-4.

Brady Brown made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Brown was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

In other batting news, Tracy let Jacoby Freitas and Malakai Jacobo run wild. Freitas went 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run, while Jacobo scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Jace Johnson, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Tracy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Bear Creek, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tracy will take on Patterson at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bear Creek, they will welcome Christian Brothers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
