Point Loma had won two straight games and Olivia Karvelis did her part to make it three on Tuesday. The Pointers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the University City Centurions for which the team can thank Karvelis, who had 17 digs and nine aces. She has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 12 times she's played.

Point Loma walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19, 25-9.

Point Loma's victory bumped their record up to 16-11. As for University City, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-18.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Point Loma will face off against Lincoln at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Pointers are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for University City, they will host La Jolla at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
