Baseball Recap: Loveland Takes a Loss

Loveland blew Bear Creek out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Bear Creek got their revenge. The Red Wolves fell just short of the Bears by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Red Wolves have suffered since April 7th.

Loveland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Dunbar, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

With the defeat, Loveland broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-12. As for Bear Creek, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Loveland will take on Rocky Mountain at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Lobos will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Red Wolves surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bear Creek, they will square off against Columbine at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
