Prospect is 9-1 against Rolling Meadows since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Knights will venture away from home to square off against the Mustangs at 4:45 p.m. Prospect will be strutting in after a victory while Rolling Meadows will be coming in after a loss.

On Saturday, Prospect beat Plainfield Central 6-3.

The team relied heavily on Logan Nordentoft, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Matt Jackson was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Meanwhile, Rolling Meadows unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 3-0 to Conant. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Mustangs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Tyler Stankiewicz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Rolling Meadows saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Fiore, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Prospect's win bumped their record up to 16-9-1. As for Rolling Meadows, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-9.

Prospect beat Rolling Meadows 6-3 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
