Baseball Recap: Grace Academy Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Grace Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against the Heritage Academy Eagles by a score of 6-2 on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Eagles back in April, they had to take a 8-3 defeat.

Austin Sweeney was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has become a key player for Grace Academy: the team is 4-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 3-6 otherwise. Sweeney was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, AJ Presley was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

The win got Grace Academy back to even at 7-7. As for Heritage Academy, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Coming up, Grace Academy will take on GVCS Broadfording at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Heritage Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
