Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Bloomingdale's 12th in Last 15 Outings

After losing to Reimer Road Baptist Christian the last time they met, Bloomingdale decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bloomingdale Blazers came out on top against the Reimer Road Baptist Christian Golden Eagles by a score of 53-42 on Friday. Given the Blazers' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 96th in West Virginia, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 733rd in Ohio), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bloomingdale's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Peyton Scheidler, who shot 71% from the field to rack up 18 points and four blocks. Scheidler is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted four or more in each of the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Scheidler, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Bloomingdale has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points over those games. Reimer Road Baptist Christian is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-15.

Bloomingdale didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-38 victory against Faith Christian Academy on the 8th. As for Reimer Road Baptist Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 58-45 win against Jefferson County Christian on the 8th.
