Basketball Recap: Warner Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Warner Christian Academy lost against Taylor back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warner Christian Academy Eagles took a blow against the Taylor Wildcats, falling 67-30. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

James Thomas continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Taylor, almost dropping a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. The contest was Thomas' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jackson Harcus, who posted nine points and eight rebounds.

Warner Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Taylor, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Warner Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Halifax Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. As for Taylor, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Taylor Wildcats challenge the Crooms Academy Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Taylor knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Crooms Academy likes a good challenge.
