Basketball Recap: Monroe Central Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wheeling Central Catholic, Monroe Central was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They skirted past the River Pilots 42-40. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Seminoles have posted since December 16, 2024.

Monroe Central's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for River, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monroe Central will host Union Local at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for River, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Barnesville at 7:00 p.m.
