Preview: Williston Northampton vs. Taft School
Taft School are packing up and hiking across state lines for their game on Saturday. They will challenge Williston Northampton on the road at 7:00 PM. Taft School don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Taft School strolled past Salisbury School with points to spare last Saturday, taking the matchup 47-28. No one put up better numbers for Taft School than senior Nolan Grooms, who brought his A game into the match. He passed for 292 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, after having lost a blowout in their match two weeks ago against St. Sebastian's School, Williston Northampton were happy to find some success. Williston Northampton put the hurt on Kent School with a sharp 44-21 victory. The high-flying offensive effort was a definite turnaround from Williston Northampton's flat performance the match before.
Their wins bumped Taft School to 2-0 and Williston Northampton to 1-1. After the lofty point totals in their previous games, we'll see if they're able to heat things up even more while facing each other.
