Baseball Game Preview: Riverside Indian Braves vs. Fletcher Wildcats

Riverside Indian hasn't had much luck against Fletcher recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Riverside Indian will challenge Fletcher at 6:00 p.m. Riverside Indian will be strutting in after a win while Fletcher will be coming in after a loss.

Riverside Indian made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Granite, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Riverside Indian put the hurt on Granite with a sharp 9-1 victory on Monday. Considering the Braves have won seven matchups by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Isaac Hernandez, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Landon Davis, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Fletcher came up short against Big Pasture on Monday and fell 7-3. The Wildcats have struggled against the Rangers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Fletcher saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rayce Stoll, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Riverside Indian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. Fletcher's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

Riverside Indian skirted past Fletcher 1-0 in their previous meeting on Tuesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for Riverside Indian since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
