Gibsonburg entered their tilt with Cardinal Stritch on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Cardinals. This was payback for the Golden Bears, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Gibsonburg easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-20.

Leah Hall paced Gibsonburg's offense, picking up six kills. Hall got some help from Brooklyn Smith and her eight assists. Smith was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Cardinal Stritch's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Morgan Kennedy, who had 13 digs and one assist, and Ryley Rodriguez, who had three digs.

Gibsonburg's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Cardinal Stritch, the loss snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 8-4 record.

Gibsonburg has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Old Fort on the 23rd. As for Cardinal Stritch, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against North Baltimore on the 20th.
