Baseball Recap: Greenville Comes Up Short

If Greenville was riding high fresh off their 10-2 takedown of St. Joseph's Catholic back in February, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Greenville Red Raiders took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crescent Tigers on Saturday. The Red Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

Greenville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Eller, who went 1-for-4 with one RBI.

Greenville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Crescent, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenville will welcome Powdersville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Crescent, they will face off against Greenwood at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
