Softball Recap: Chartiers Valley Find Success

Chartiers Valley won the last time they faced Blackhawk and things went their way on Friday too. Chartiers Valley came out on top against Blackhawk by a score of 5-2.

Taylor Walsh spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on nine hits.

On the hitting side, Lily Duffill was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Dunlap, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

The win got Chartiers Valley back to even at 2-2. As for Blackhawk, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.

Looking ahead, Chartiers Valley will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against South Park at 4:00 p.m. As for Blackhawk, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Blackhawk Cougars duke it out with Moon Area Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
