Soccer Game Recap: Silver Creek vs. Overfelt

The Silver Creek Raiders won the last time they faced the Overfelt Royals, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Silver Creek had just enough and edged Overfelt out 3-2. Silver Creek found success even though the refs didn't miss a thing: Luke Bushey and Joshua Lopez Martinez were both handed yellow cards.

Silver Creek was led to victory by the tag-team duo of Mateo Lopez and Matthew Orozco Alcaraz, who scored all three of Silver Creek's goals. The pair have combined for a total of seven so far this season.

The win got Silver Creek back to even at 8-8-2. As for Overfelt, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9-1.

Silver Creek will be playing in front of their home fans against Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Silver Creek's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Overfelt, they will head out on the road to square off against Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pioneer is coming into the match with eight straight defeats at home, meaning Overfelt will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
