Basketball Recap: West Mesquite Takes a Loss + How To Watch

West Mesquite was the 48-38 winner over Wilson when they last played one another back in December of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Wranglers took a hard 52-35 fall against the Wildcats on Saturday.

Wilson found their leader in sophomore Kam Rose, who dropped a double-double with 31 points and ten boards. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Rose has scored at least a third of the Wildcats' points. Another player making a difference was Keondria Cunningham, who posted eight points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

West Mesquite's loss dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Wilson, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-13.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. West Mesquite will square off against rival Seagoville at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Wilson is set to face off against their familiar foe North Mesquite at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
