Basketball Recap: Spalding Comes Up Short

Spalding was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 59-34 to the LaGrange Grangers. The Jaguars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Grangers earlier this season, when they won 52-45.

Spalding's loss dropped their record down to 2-20. As for LaGrange, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Spalding Jaguars face off against the Troup County Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for LaGrange, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Whitewater at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
