If Luella was riding high fresh off their 42-7 takedown of North Clayton last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Luella Lions lost 39-13 to the Douglass Astros on Friday.
Although Luella took the loss, they still got scores from Javon Bowser Jr and Markel Aguirre.

Douglass' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but John Wilson led the charge by rushing for 83 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries, while also throwing for 64 yards and a touchdown. Antoine Watkins was another key rusher, gaining 154 total yards and a touchdown.
Luella now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Douglass, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.
Luella wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 27-6 victory against Mt. Zion on the 18th. Douglass has also already played their next game, a 50-8 win against North Clayton on the 18th.
