Baseball Recap: Winslow Takes a Loss

While it was Winslow who put the first points on the board on Thursday, it was Alchesay who put up more. Winslow took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Alchesay. The Bulldogs' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Jace Smith put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off six hits. Smith was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Winslow's loss dropped their record down to 1-6-1. As for Alchesay, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.

Winslow wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-1 defeat against Blue Ridge on the 22nd. As for Alchesay, they will challenge Winslow at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
