Baseball Recap: Seminole Extends Winning Streak to Three

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Seminole ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Pecos Eagles 5-4. The victory was nothing new for the Indians as they're now sitting on three straight.

Rowin Donaldson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5.

Donaldson wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Obed Reyes, who scored a run and stole four bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits Reyes has posted since back in March. Another was Derek Madrid, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Seminole's record is now 20-7. As for Pecos, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-16.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Seminole will challenge rival Fort Stockton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pecos is set to take on their familiar foe Monahans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
