Softball Recap: Eastbrook Comes Up Short

Eastbrook lost against Frankton back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Panthers fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 6-5. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eastbrook saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Elliott, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double. Caleigh Perry was another, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one double.

Eastbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Frankton, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastbrook will take on Elwood at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Elwood has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.14 runs per game on average), something Eastbrook will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Frankton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Eastern Hancock at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Royals will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
