            The Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs will venture away from home to  challenge the Smithfield-Selma Spartans  at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Southeast Raleigh and 25 for Smithfield-Selma dating back to last season.
Southeast Raleigh lost  16-5 to Willow Spring on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by  exactly 11  runs.

  Troy Scott and  Grayson Dove stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Scott  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances, while  Dove  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. Dove is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last four games he's  played.
 Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Smithfield-Selma's offense. They came up short against  West Johnston on Friday, falling  22-0.
 Smithfield-Selma's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Southeast Raleigh, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
 Southeast Raleigh came out on top in a nail-biter against Smithfield-Selma in their previous matchup  last Wednesday, sneaking past  9-7. Will Southeast Raleigh repeat their success,  or does  Smithfield-Selma has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
