Volleyball Recap: Alyssa Huyhn Key Part of Team Effort in Panthers Win

Rosemead won the last time they faced Arroyo and things went their way on Friday too. The Panthers came out on top against the Knights by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Rosemead had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-13.

Rosemead's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alyssa Huyhn, who had 30 digs and three assists. Huyhn is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season. Viviana Tu was another key player, getting 15 assists and 12 digs.

Rosemead was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September.

Rosemead's record now sits at 6-10. As for Arroyo, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Rosemead will take on Marshall at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Arroyo, they will head out to challenge Mountain View at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
