Chiefland skates past Riverside Christian with ease

Recap: Chiefland Indians vs. Riverside Christian Wranglers

The Chiefland Indians had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Riverside Christian 54-13 on the road. Chiefland has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 41 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chiefland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Calea Whitelow, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Whitelow has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Davies, who scored 11 points along with three steals.

Chiefland's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-9. As for Riverside Christian, their defeat was their 11th straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-15.

Chiefland won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Dixie County at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Dixie County is ranked 347th, while Chiefland is ranked 337th). As for Riverside Christian, they will take on Life Christian Academy at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
