Basketball Game Preview: Norfolk Panthers vs. Papillion-LaVista South Titans

The Norfolk Panthers will face off against the Papillion-LaVista South Titans at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Norfolk has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with ten straight losses, while Papillion-LaVista South will come in with four straight victories.

On Friday, Norfolk came up short against Columbus and fell 62-53.

Meanwhile, Papillion-LaVista South took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 71-43 win over Omaha North. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while the Vikings are ranked 115th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Papillion-LaVista South pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Norfolk, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.

Norfolk came up short against Papillion-LaVista South when the teams last played back in December of 2019, falling 58-46. Thankfully for Norfolk, Danair Dempsey (who went 6 of 7 on his way to 17 points and eight rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
