Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Sedgwick's Fifth in Last Six Outings

If Sterling wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Sedgwick, they should've done a better job of containing Briella Steventon. The Cardinals walked away with a 2-0 win over the Black Bears on Tuesday for which the team can thank Steventon, who had 11 digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Sedgwick never let Sterling on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-22.

Sedgwick has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Sterling, they dropped their record down to 5-6 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Sedgwick has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Trinity on the 23rd. As for Sterling, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Classical on the 23rd.
