Volleyball Game Preview: San Juan Spartans vs. Woodland Christian Cardinals

The San Juan Spartans will head out to face off against the Woodland Christian Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Tuesday, San Juan came up short against Foothill and fell 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-19, 22-25, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Woodland Christian lost 3-0 to Mesa Verde on Monday.

While Woodland Christian was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Mesa Verde's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-15, 25-23.

San Juan has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Woodland Christian, they dropped their record down to 7-10 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

San Juan skirted past Woodland Christian 3-2 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
