Palatine had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Mundelein Mustangs. For the Pirates, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

While Palatine won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-22.

Looking ahead, Palatine will take on West Chicago at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mundelein, they will face off against Glenbrook North at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
