Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Ezekiel Academy). They blew past the Southern Prep Academy Rangers 54-14  on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ezekiel Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Noah Sawyer, who rushed for 216 yards and four  scores on only 15 carries. The Knights are undefeated when  Sawyer posts two or  more  rushing touchdowns, but 1-6 otherwise.  Donovan Gentry was another key receiver, picking up 221 receiving yards and three  TDs.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Ezekiel Academy was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 270  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've posted since back in August.
 Ezekiel Academy's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB  three times.  Landen Ethridge was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself. He has been hot, having also posted six or more  total tackles the last six times he's  played.  Steven Groff was another major factor on D,  forcing one fumble and making ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Ezekiel Academy moved to 4-6 with that  win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Southern Prep Academy, their loss was  their fifth straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 3-7.
 Ezekiel Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southern Prep Academy, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Trinity Christian  at 7:00  p.m. The Rangers will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31  points  in their last three matchups.
