Basketball Recap: John Carroll Catholic Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact John Carroll Catholic can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Ramsay Rams and fell 66-36. While losing is never fun, the Cavaliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 190th, while the Rams are ranked seventh).

This is the second loss in a row for John Carroll Catholic and nudges their season record down to 12-17. As for Ramsay, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 21 of their last 23 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 26-7 record this season.

John Carroll Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ramsay, they will take on Hayden at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Ramsay knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Hayden likes a good challenge.
