Basketball Recap: Ariton Beats Long for Their Third Straight Win

It's playoff time, and Ariton had no trouble coming through when it counted. They snuck past the Long Rebels with a 34-28 victory on Thursday. Given the Purple Cats' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 140th, while the Rebels are ranked 369th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ariton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nya Allen, who posted seven points along with eight boards and three steals. Elizabeth Woodfaulk was another key player, putting up eight points and five steals.
