Baseball Recap: Vicksburg Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Vicksburg's offense. They lost 17-0 to the Clinton Arrows on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Vicksburg's loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Clinton, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vicksburg will head out to challenge Columbus at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clinton, they will venture away from home to square off against Florence at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Florence will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Clinton surely won't give up without a fight.
