Football Game Preview: Ewing Blue Devils vs. KIPP Cooper Norcross Titans

The Ewing Blue Devils will face off against the KIPP Cooper Norcross Titans on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

On Friday, Ewing strolled past Trenton Central with points to spare, taking the game 27-13.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask KIPP Cooper Norcross). They claimed a resounding 74-22 win over Lindenwold. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

KIPP Cooper Norcross' win came from a few key players Ewing will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jykhai Boyd, who rushed for 80 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 33 receiving yards. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run. Another player making a difference was Michael Morton Jr, who rushed for 49 yards and one TD.

KIPP Cooper Norcross' defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. In that department, Mehki Moore was the leader with two sacks. Torey Jones got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Special teams played a big role in the game for KIPP Cooper Norcross, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Boyd, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

KIPP Cooper Norcross' win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Ewing, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
