Softball Recap: Eastern Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Eastern's offense. They came up short against the New Albany Bulldogs on Wednesday, falling 20-0. The Musketeers haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Eastern's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for New Albany, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-10 record this season.

Eastern will head out to square off against Borden at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Braves' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Musketeers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for New Albany, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 9-4 loss against West Washington on the 7th.
