Basketball Recap: Ida Baker Comes Up Short

Ida Baker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They took a blow against the Cape Coral Seahawks, falling 72-41. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-30 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Ida Baker still got an impressive performance from Logan Rams, who posted 12 points. The dominant performance also gave Rams a new career-high in steals (two). Pierre Sproul Jr was another key player, putting up 12 points and four steals.

Ida Baker's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Cape Coral, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-2.

Ida Baker didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-64 victory against Mariner on the 13th. As for Cape Coral, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 71-56 win against Cypress Lake on the 10th.
