Football Recap: Braylon Robinson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Pleasant Grove + How To Watch

Franklin had won four straight on the road, but on Friday they bumped up to 6-2 to make it five. They managed a 39-34 win over the Pleasant Grove Eagles. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 26-13 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Franklin got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Braylon Robinson out in front who threw for 262 yards and three TDs while picking up 12.5 yards per attempt, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. Robinson's passing game has become a key predictor of the Wildcats' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Caden Bowers did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 94 receiving yards.

As for Pleasant Grove, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. They were up 14-0 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Robert Wainaina, who rushed for 131 yards and one score on only nine carries, and also picked up 40 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Hekili Hernandez, who rushed for 124 yards and a pair of TDs.
