Basketball Game Preview: Lynbrook Vikings vs. Homestead Mustangs

Lynbrook and Homestead are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2017, but not for long. The Lynbrook Vikings will venture away from home to square off against the Homestead Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Lynbrook is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Saratoga just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 38-28 to the Falcons. Having soared to a lofty 59 points in the game before, the Vikings couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Homestead entered their tilt with Cupertino on Friday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They took their game with ease, bagging a 52-9 win over the Pioneers. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Lynbrook's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Homestead, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-3.

Lynbrook came up short against Homestead in their previous matchup back in January, falling 59-52. Can Lynbrook avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
