After a string of seven wins, Tulare Western's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They lost 16-7 to the Dinuba Emperors. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Mustangs have suffered since May 2, 2024.

Emily Leon made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Meiah Ledesma, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Tulare Western's loss dropped their record down to 9-3-1. As for Dinuba, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Tulare Western will square off against rival Hanford at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Dinuba is set to challenge their familiar foe Lemoore at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
