Basketball Recap: Grossmont Find Success

While Grossmont's win against Mission Vista wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Foothillers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Mission Vista 44-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Foothillers have posted since January 2nd.

Andrew Ashton was nothing short of spectacular: he posted 19 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Baird, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 rebounds.

The victory got Grossmont back to even at 1-1. As for Mission Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Grossmont has already played their next contest, a 52-48 loss against Otay Ranch on the 25th. As for Mission Vista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 62-42 defeat against Bishop's on the 25th.
