Gardiner came tearing into Monday's match with nine straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Lewiston Blue Devils with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Gardiner took every set by at least 17 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-4, 25-8.

Julie Folsom paced Gardiner's offense, picking up six kills. Folsom got some help from Kathleen Moore and her 15 assists. Kaitlyn Davidson controlled things from the service line, finishing with 16 aces.

Gardiner's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Lewiston, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gardiner will face off against Yarmouth at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lewiston, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Edward Little at 6:00 p.m. on the 16th.
